Personal Coaching for Women
Women often come to coaching at a point in their lives when they become aware that they are not doing the things that are important to them, are not being the person they want to be or are feeling stuck in relation to a change they want to make. The basis of my coaching is to create a safe space to support you in exploring where you are, where you want to be and how you want to move forward.
Throughout my career I have worked with women from all walks of life. I understand what it is like to hang on to our sense of identity whilst juggling multiple roles and responsibilities, to keep moving forward in a world that presents many barriers to our progress and to give ourselves permission to lean into being the amazing women we really are.
Through my coaching and workshops I am committed to working with women to support them in exploring how they can live a life aligned to their values, priorities and aspirations. I know this is serious work but that doesn’t mean that we won’t laugh and have fun along the way.
Having trained as an occupational therapist I have a deep respect for the connectivity between what we do, how we behave and who we become and this golden thread runs through my coaching. Fundamental to the relationship we will create is the belief that you already have within you the resources you need to create your own solutions given the right support and encouragement.
Making a commitment to change is a courageous step and here is some information about what you can expect when you contact me.
After your initial contact we will arrange a phone call to explore, what has brought you to consider coaching, if coaching is the right approach for you and if I am the right coach for you. The call is free and will provide you with the opportunity to ask any questions you may have.
If you wish to progress further we will then arrange the first coaching session. The initial ‘discovery session’ is usually around an hour and a half followed by a series of sessions at approximately fortnightly intervals. The number of sessions is something we will discuss but you will be asked to commit initially to 5 sessions. I am happy to coach you face to face, via Skype or over the phone and we can discuss this in our initial phone call.
The initial session is longer because the focus will be on exploring what is important to you, clarifying what you want to achieve through coaching and how we will work together. Fundamental to my coaching is an emphasis on moving forward and therefore all sessions will end with an agreed action informed by what we have explored during the session. Each session will begin by exploring your learning since the previous session and clarifying your focus for the session.
What people say about my coaching
“I have thoroughly benefitted from my life coaching sessions with Lynne. She certainly challenged me at times but I see now that that was absolutely necessary to get me to the point of fully reaching my goal. My expectations were not only achieved but exceeded. Sincere thanks Lynne and I wouldn’t hesitate in working with you again in the future. Sarah
I started with Lynne at a transitional period in my career and family life to help guide me through the changes and make sense of what I wanted in terms of my work / life balance. I not only ended up enjoying talking through my decisions with Lynne as a professional, but speaking my thoughts and feelings out loud in a guided way helped me to firm up my life standards and goals to work towards. With the more emotional issues I was able to understand my own feelings through utilising Lynne’s life coaching skills and become more comfortable with why I felt as I did in a more rational way. I have been able to confidently plan to action certain parts of my life in ways I wasn’t confident to previously and have made large life steps within the year of knowing Lynne. I have successfully been promoted at work, progressed positively with my work / life balance and feel less anxious in general as I am more in touch with how I feel. I have learned to embrace the emotions I have, but not to let them stifle my actions. I feel more confident to live the life I always wanted to live and with Lynne’s facilitation I have been able to to that being more relaxed, confident and just being me.
